Description

The Provincial Domain Kessel-Lo has a big pond that is home to different types of ducks, nokikana, harmaahaikara, merimetso, pikku-uikku, kyhmyjoutsen and many more, which can be seen from the bird watching hide (see map). Also the kuningaskalastaja, different woodpeckers, etelänpuukiipijä andpähkinänakkeli reside in the area.

In winter time the Luhtakana can be found in the protected natural area called 'Lovenarenbroek'.

Access

The Provincial Domain is located just northeast of the city of Leuven. There are different car parks and also a camper site. Press a P on the map for directions to a car park. The area can only be explored on foot.
