Description

Paardeweide is a wetland that is flooded about once a year. You will find open water, reeds, and a mix of grasslands. The area attracts herons, waders and other water birds. Breeding birds are avosetti and kalatiira. Furthermore you can often see kapustahaikara. From the dyke, the following rarities can be observed periodically: kaulushaikara , luhtahuitti , pikkuhuitti , punajalkahaukka and ruskohaikara.
