Gravière d'Hermalle is a former industrial area (gravel extraction) along the Albert Canal. The area was fully developed and dedicated to nature in 2012. The large body of water attracts many birds. There is a circular path around this small lake that allows everyone to explore the area, including people with reduced mobility. Among the birds you can see in the area are pikku-uikku, silkkiuikku, tukkasotka, punasotka, harmaasorsa, merimetso, pajusirkku and kuningaskalastaja.
