Most of the time people visit this nature reserve during the summer. But also during the winter and migration period you can see intersting bird species. The area is famous for the kehrääjä which you can see during the summer but in the winter you can see the isolepinkäinen. Other birds you can encounter in the area are telkkä, sääksi (kalasääski), nuolihaukka, ampuhaukka, mustahaikara, pähkinänakkeli, korppi, Kurki, palokärki and lehtopöllö. Rare visitors are merikotka, nummikirvinen, ruskohaikara and pitkäjalka.
