Description
The 12 hectares of the area consist of four former fish ponds in the Molenbeek valley. The ponds have been managed in a nature-friendly way for ten years. They are a good place to make the first spring observations of pikku-uikku , silkkiuikku , kuningaskalastaja , rytikerttunen , merimetso . During the winter half-year, in addition to modest numbers of tukkasotka, punasotka, tavi are present. Other species are seen to a lesser extent harmaasorsa, Lapasorsa, heinätavi , pikkuhaikara.
In recent years many rareties were seen during migration, like mustakaulauikku, kaulushaikara, pussitiainen ,rääkkähaikara.
