Description
The Schlatzingeraue Natur Park is located in the center of the Maltatal and consists of a small resting area surrounded with wet grasslands and forests next to the river. A small track leads you around the grassland and next to the river, where species such as virtavästäräkki and koskikara can be seen. Small patches of bushes and scattered trees are great for songbirds, like mustapääkerttu and puukiipijä and woodpeckers, like käpytikka.
The grassland has several patches with bushes in which species, such as hernekerttu, can be found. With a bit of luck, a pikkulepinkäinen might show up here too! The forests, mainly pine, are great for species such as töyhtötiainen, kuusitiainen and tulipäähippiäinen. Also, fairly large numbers of Pähkinähakki can be found here too!
