Descripción

The San Francisco Bay Trail is a bicycle and pedestrian trail around the shoreline of San Francisco Bay. The trail is intended to provide recreation for hikers and bicyclists, viewpoints for wildlife, space for environmental education, and corridors for bicycle transportation as well as access to historic, natural and cultural sites, including over 130 parks. This section of the San Francisco Bay Trail is perfect for birdwatching and for observing birds such as American White Pelican, Northern Shoveler, Cinnamon Teal, Northern Pintail, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, Western Grebe, Clark's Grebe, Marbled Godwit, American Avocet, Little Stint, Long-billed Dowitcher, Short-billed Dowitcher, Greater Yellowlegs, Willet and many other birds.

Accesso

The Coast Casey Forebay area is located in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay, east of Palo Alto. There is ample of parking space at the entrance of the trail. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. You can explore the area on foot from the parking lot. The walking route indicated on the map is 3,5 km one way.
