Woodchester Park is a tranquil wooded valley with remains of an 18th and 19th-century landscape park and a chain of five lakes. There is a heronry at the easternmost lake. Also Mosquitero Silbador, Carricero Común, Carricerín Común, Mosquitero Musical, Curruca Mosquitera, Tarabilla común, Cárabo Común, Halcón Peregrino, Jilguero Lúgano, Pato Mandarín, Martín Pescador Común, egrets and woodpeckers. 132 species seen in all.

You car park near Nympsfield village. By car, follow B4066 from Dursley or Stroud. From M5, take junction 13. Click on the P in the map for directions. Bus 65 runs hourly from Gloucester, Dursley or Stroud to Nympsfield. Nearest train station, Stroud.
