Descripción
The Whitacre Heath reserve contains open water, marsh, willow carr and mature woodland. There are four bird hides. Plants include blue fleabane and southern marsh orchid. There are emperor and chaser dragonflies in summer, and letter hairstreak butterflies.
The Tame valley series of wetlands is an important migration route. 130 bird species have been seen. Birds include Zampullín Común, Carricerín Común, Carricero Común, Curruca Zarcera, Curruca Capirotada, Martín Pescador Común, Ostrero Euroasiático, Charrán Común, Agachadiza común, Chocha Perdiz and Bisbita Arbóreo.
