Descripción

Stockhill Woods is a well known location to see Chotacabras Europeo in Summer evenings, and has been known for Búho Chico. The pools opposite are home to Cetia Ruiseñor and Carricerín Común as well as Alondra Común in the surrounding hills with spectacular views across the Mendip hills.

Accesso

Stockhill Woods has a car park with plenty of space, which can however get busy on Summer weekends for walkers. If you are heading North on the Old Bristol Road from Wells, you will pass the Hunter's Lodge Inn. Head over the crossroads and the car park is well signed on your right. The circular walk shown on the map is about 2,7 km long.
