At Llandinam Gravels upland birds can be seen such as Mirlo-acuático Europeo, Lavandera Cascadeña, Mirlo Capiblanco, Lagópodo Común, Tarabilla común, Collalba Gris, Chorlito Dorado Europeo and Zarapito Real. Exposed shingle banks encourage Chorlitejo Chico, Andarríos Chico and Ostrero Euroasiático to breed.
Take a minor road south from Caersws, which is between Machynlleth and Montgomery. Postcode SY17 5AU. On entering the reserve, car park is at far end of derelict railway track.
