Descripción

The village of Hessenford (originally Hestonford) lies on the main A387 road from Looe (to the West) and Plymouth (to the East), the River Seaton runs through the heavily wooded valley, to the North runs the main A38 from Plymouth (to the East) and Liskeard (to the West) passes the valley, a narrow road (hardly used) runs the full length of the valley between the two.

Whilst the birds are of more common species, this is the place in South East Cornwall to be for International Dawn Chorus Day on the first Sunday in May each year, be sure to arrive early, 0400hrs is the best time for the full effect.

Some birds you can expect to see, or hear if you're doing the Dawn Chorus are Petirrojo Europeo, Pinzón Vulgar, Paloma Torcaz, Mosquitero Común, Tórtola Turca,Curruca Capirotada, Mirlo Común, Carbonero Común, Chochín Común and Carbonero Palustre.
