Chard Reservoir has a good hide that enables most of the water to be seen which contains up to 50 Somormujo Lavanco and also Martín Pescador Común, Cormorán Grande, Garza Real and Garceta Común. The surrounding woodland holds Pico Picapinos, Trepador Azul, Agateador Euroasiático and Carbonero Palustre. Carricero Común breeds in the summer and ducks are present in winter.

The surrounding fields are much used by dog walkers, but can be good for butterflies and orchids in summer.
