Descripción

Cann Woods Plympton, not to be confused with Cann Wood Whitleigh Wood (see separate entry), just to the East of Plymbridge Woods and Valley (see separate entry), is best known for Chotacabras Europeo during the Summer months. For those wishing to hear and see these birds a visit at dusk or just after is best> NOTE a torch or headtorch is vital as the area is completely unlit. The area is also good for nocturnal migration (noc-mig), Zorzal Alirrojo are commonly heard throughout late Autumn nights with the added bonus of a possible Escribano Hortelano during Autumn migration. During Spring/Autumn migration Mirlo Capiblanco and Collalba Gris are often seen passing through.

NOTE, Cann Woods can be busy. Mountain biking, walking, horse riding and Segway all take place in the woods, a visit early or late in the day may be best especially during the Summer months.
