Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Charrán Común, Charrán ártico, Charrán Patinegro and Charrancito Común. Also Gaviota Reidora and occasional Gaviota Cabecinegra. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Éider común, Negrón común and Ánsar piquicorto. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Alcaudón Norteño, Bisbita de Richard, Mosquitero Bilistado and Curruca Gavilana. Carricerín Común and Carricero Común in the reed beds.

Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
