Descripción

During autumn bird migration many bird visit or cross the area. Raptors and other soaring birds use the coastal mountain range to move south. Various species of herons and other waterfowl are attracted by the water of the river and the nearby coastal salt marshes. Like Cigüeña Negra, Garcilla Cangrejera, Martinete Común and Avefría Espinosa In the early morning reedbeds and big trees can be full of birds. Big trees often contain resting raptors, such as Águila Moteada or Águila Pomerana. Most raptors pas overhead, sometimes at considerable hight, but a drive into the mountains can bring you closer. We spent most of our time checking bushes and marshes around the river mouth and saw many passing raptors like Águila calzada, Aguilucho Papialbo, Busardo Moro and Culebrera Europea anyway.
