The Nemrut Crater Lake has vegetation that is very interesting for birdwatching. However, there is the brown bear (Ursus arctos) that needs to be take into account. This is an ex-breeding habitat of the Negrón especulado. In the area you can see several steppe species as well once the snow has melted in spring. Among the birds you can encounter are Perdiz chúcar, Perdiz Pardilla, Escribano Hortelano, Roquero Rojo, Alcaudón Chico, Trepador Rupestre Occidental, Camachuelo Alirrojo, Busardo Moro and Collalba de Finsch.
