Descripción

Pakarang Cape is characterized by a wide coastal strip consisting of sandy areas, and an abundance of bleached coral at the tip. At low tide, you can cross the sandy areas into the flood zones. See a link to the tide table below. You can observe many waders such as Whimbrel, Black-bellied Plover, Pacific Golden Plover, Greater Sand Plover, Tibetan Sand Plover, Terek Sandpiper, Grey-tailed Tattler and Bar-tailed Godwit in the area. The birds are not really afraid of people, so you can get relatively close to them. The locals fish in the area and collect mussels and crabs.
