Descripción
Stockviken is one of the best birding areas on Gotland. It has two different areas: an inland lake ("inre") with a watchtower and a bay ("ytre"). You can see ducks, geese, Pigargo Europeo, Collalba Gris, terns, reedbirds and waders. Many rare species have been seen here over the years. The area's nesting birds include waders such as Archibebe Común, Ostrero Euroasiático, Combatiente, Zarapito Real, Aguja Colinegra, Avoceta Común and Correlimos Común, but also other species such as Charrancito Común, Pagaza Piquirroja and Charrán ártico. Especially in spring – from early April to mid-May – but also during autumn – mainly in October – thousands of Barnacla Cariblanca can be seen in the area.
