Descripción
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example Vuelvepiedras Común, Correlimos Menudo, Correlimos Tridáctilo, Correlimos Gordo, Combatiente, Correlimos Falcinelo, Correlimos de Temminck, Aguja Colipinta and Chorlito Gris. Also several pairs of Charrancito Común are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Chorlitejo patinegro, Tibetan Sand Plover, Archibebe Fino, Archibebe Patigualdo Chico and Correlimos Pectoral.
In winter time islandic Archibebe Común and northern Chorlitejo Grande and sometimes Correlimos Oscuro can be seen.
