Descripción
Sjötorpasjön is a good place to see wetland birds during much of the year. The surroundings (deciduous forests and farmland) are also interesting. Among the breeders are Somormujo Lavanco, Cisne Vulgar, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental and in some years Avetoro Común,Somormujo Cuellirrojo and Bigotudo. Other breeders in the neighbourhood are Milano Real , Pico Menor, Mito Común and Zarcero Icterino. During migration periods large flocks of Ánsar común , Barnacla canadiense grande , Ánade azulón and Cerceta Común stay at the lake, often including the odd duck or goose species.
From the birding tower you may see several raptors, especially Busardo ratonero, Busardo Calzado, Milano Real, Milano Negro, Águila Pescadora and Pigargo Europeo.
