Descripción

Norsholmen is a peninsula on the small island of Fårö between Tällevika and Ajkesvik north of Gotland. Norsholmen is known for its good birding, mainly during spring and autumn migration. During the spring, large numbers of seabirds and waders pass through. At the end of May, for example, large flocks of Barnacla Cariblanca can be seen stopping on their way to their Arctic breeding grounds. The birdlife consists of waders such as Avoceta Común, Vuelvepiedras Común, Combatiente and Correlimos Común and terns such as Charrán ártico and Charrancito Común. At the end of July/August, flocks of Charrán Patinegro dwell around the islet. Pigargo Europeo is often seen.
