Descripción
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Barnacla Cariblanca, Ánsar común, and Barnacla canadiense grande all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Ánsar chico. Other geese like Ánsar careto, Ánsar Campestre, Ánsar piquicorto can often be found. Some years Ánsar Campestre de la Tundra and Barnacla Carinegra are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Archibebe Oscuro, Archibebe Común, Chorlitejo Chico (breeds), Ostrero Euroasiático (breeds), and Combatiente. The lake holds large amounts of Ánade azulón and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Ánade friso, Cuchara Común and Cerceta Carretona. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Ampelis Europeo and Camachuelo Picogrueso are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
