The bay near the village Hedesunda is called Hedesunda Fjärderna, a unique landscape, with hundreds of small islands, marshes and ancient woods. The birdlife is very extensive; you’ll find a large variety of Woodpeckers, Owls and you can see Águila Pescadora. Among the other birds you can see are Gaviota Cana, Serreta Grande, Pigargo Europeo, Porrón Osculado, Colimbo Chico, Grulla Común and Cisne Cantor. The are is also the habitat for wildlife such as, moose, deer, beaver, lynx and bear.
