Femöre Huvud is located high and has a good view towards the island Vinterklasen where Alca Común can be observed. The fairway adjacent to Oxelösund and Norrköping passes in from the outer archipelago where Hävringe (former pilot station) can be seen on the horizon. The spring migration is mainly dominated by Éider común, Tarro Blanco and Pagaza Piquirroja. The autumn migration can be impressive with ducks, birds of prey, swallows, finches and pigeons. The observations are quite dependent on the wind direction, with onshore winds the birds fly closer to land. Winter time observations are dependent on the ice situation and access to open water. There can be large numbers of Pato Havelda, Éider común, Porrón Moñudo, occasional Serreta Chica, Colimbo Ártico and Somormujo Lavanco. At the edge of the beach there are sometimes some Mirlo-acuático Europeo.
