Descripción

Edssjön is a lake near Stockholm. Although there are rarely many ducks on the lake the surroundings hold many birds. The southern bay of the lake continues in a large reed area bordered by pastures. On warm early summer nights, the chances are good to hear one of the night and dusk warblers that visit the area during this time. Carricero Políglota is heard almost every year. Carricero de Blyth, Buscarla Unicolor and Carricero Tordal are rarities that have been observed. As the night falls, many other birds begin to chime in. The call of the Buscarla Pintoja is then typical. In the reeds, Avetoro Común and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental nest and you have a good chance of spotting them.

Around the marsh area in the south, moist pastures spread out and here the Lavandera Boyera thrives, as well as Tarabilla Norteña. Avefría Europea and Agachadiza común nest among the tussocks.

Right next door, where the Väsbyån river crosses the railway, Mirlo-acuático Europeo usually overwinter. Between Antuna farm and the lake stands a deciduous forest. The environment is perfect for Picogordo Común, Jilguero Europeo, Mito Común and Zarcero Icterino.
