Descripción
Parque Forestal Valdebebas - Felipe IV consists of a young forest of native vegetation, though an area to the south does have older trees. Most of the area is dominated by stone pines, which hold all of the common birds of the area. The park has several streams and and two small lakes. These attract birds such as Lavandera Cascadeña, Pájaro-moscón Europeo, Rascón Europeo (uncommon), Martín Pescador Común and sometimes Tarro Canelo. Some other ducks, like Ánade friso, might occasionally show up. Waders, such as Andarríos Grande can also appear. There have been records of Alcaraván Común. During winter, the top part of the park is very good for Zorzal Alirrojo, with Zorzal Real also being present. Some raptors like Buitre Negro might fly over, but this isn't a good spot for them. Mochuelo Europeo is present, however, the park is closed at night, making other owl species sightings scarce. Grulla Común might ocassionally fly over during winter.
