Descripción
In the east of the dry province of Almería lies the beautiful unspoilt Natural Park Cabo de Gato. It covers 29,000 hectares and was protected as a nature park in 1987. You will find erratic steep coasts, sand dunes, salt flats and huge cliffs of volcanic rock. In the area around San Felipe castle various plants grow on the rocky soil that attract interesting birds like Camachuelo Trompetero, Collalba Negra, Cogujada Común and Bisbita Pratense. You will find Collalba Negra usually on the castle, Camachuelo Trompetero wander all around the area.
