The bird hide at Casa Gerbe is surrounded by mountains, river, lake, forests, farm fields. Depending on the time of year and the water level of the reservoir, different types of birds can be observed. Among the birds that have been seen from the hide are Somormujo Lavanco, Garza Real, Garceta Grande, Pico Picapinos, Arrendajo Euroasiático, Gorrión Chillón, Petirrojo Europeo, Escribano Soteño, Jilguero Europeo, Jilguero Lúgano, Carbonero Común, Carbonero Garrapinos, Herrerillo Común, Herrerillo Capuchino, Acentor Común, Picogordo Común, Pinzón Real, Mirlo Común, Ruiseñor Común, Lavandera Cascadeña, Gavilán Común, Busardo ratonero, Alimoche Común, Milano Real and Milano Negro. Casa Gerbe is located close to the village of Gerbe and can be reached by car, there is parking. There is also a circular walking route through the surrounding area of 4 km (described in a separate entry on Birdingplaces).
