Descripción

Daejin Harbor (대진항) is a harbour in the East Sea where you can observe winter visitors along the coast. Best to use a spotting scope and scan the sea until you find a bird, since they are usually far away. You can also explore the sea with a boat trip to see the birds in a closer distance. Birds you can can observe include Ancient Murrelet, Harlequin Duck, Rhinoceros Auklet, Stejneger's Scoter, Black Scoter, Spectacled Guillemot, Pelagic Cormorant, Arctic Loon, Pacific Loon, Eared Grebe and more.

Accesso

Daejin Harbor is located in Goseong in Gangwon province, bordering the East Sea. You can park in the harbor. Press P on the map for directions. Public transport: you can take an intercity bus from East Seoul Bus Terminal to Daejin Bus Terminal.

If you are planning for a pelagic birding trip as well, you should contact a boat owner.
