Descripción

Jakubovské rybníky are 2 fish ponds in the plain between the Morava River and the Little Carpathians mountain range. The ponds are surrounded by reed beds, coniferous forests on sand dunes and open grassland with scattered shrubs. Commonly seen species include Pigargo Europeo, Águila Pescadora, Cernícalo vulgar and Garceta Grande. A wide path runs along both ponds with a good view of the water. You can take a circular walk of approximately 3 km around the western pond, visiting all the biotopes.
