Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as Correlimos Falcinelo, Cigüeñuela común, Correlimos de Temminck, Correlimos Menudo, Chorlitejo patinegro and Falaropo Picofino. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as Garza Imperial, Morito Común, Fumarel Cariblanco, Martinete Común, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Polluela Bastarda and Carricero Agrícola are breeding in this area.
