Descripción
The Miradouro Penha das Torres is located opposite the Presa de Castro dam, about 12 km upstream from Miranda do Douro. It is considered the easternmost point of Portugal and offers stunning views of the Douro River as it enters Portugal. Birds you can see soaring by include Buitre Leonado, Alimoche Común, Águila Real, Culebrera Europea, Águila calzada, Milano Real and Cigüeña Negra. Other birds you can observe are Abejaruco Europeo, Oropéndola Europea, Chova Piquirroja, Avión Roquero and Roquero Solitario.

The Miradouro Penha das Torres is located in the village of Paradela, near Miranda do Douro in the northeastern part of Portugal. Close to the viewpoint is a parking lot. Press P on the map for directions.
