Descripción
Lagoa dos Patos is actually a reservoir. It has the highest concentrations of ducks in the Lower Alentejo. But it's not only ducks, you can also see many herons, waders and birds like Flamenco Común, Canastera Común, Fumarel Cariblanco, Pagaza Piconegra, Morito Común, Cigüeñuela común and Espátula Común. The shore of the lagoon does not have much vegetation which makes it difficult to approach birds. So a telescope can be very useful. The surrounding green patches, olive groves and fields are home to birds like Perdiz Roja, Mochuelo Europeo, Elanio Común, Abubilla común, Abejaruco Europeo, Alcaudón real, Rabilargo Ibérico, Curruca Cabecinegra, Cogujada Común, Obispo Coronigualdo, Estrilda Común and Escribano Triguero.
