Lagoa da Urgeiriça is a small pond that is very accessible and good for some easy birding. The surrounding areas are composed of small forests of pine, with some oaks and acacia trees, and there are also small areas of cultivated land. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Zampullín Común, Milano Negro, Pico Menor, Cuervo Grande, Carbonero Garrapinos, Cetia Ruiseñor, Curruca Cabecinegra, Papamoscas Cerrojillo, Colirrojo Tizón, Tarabilla común, Escribano Soteño and Ruiseñor Común.
