Karpinka Bay is located near the marina on the shore of the Kamieniecki Reservoir in the tourist town of Kamień Pomorski. Many species of birds can be observed from the waterfront and pier, often from a close distance. These are mainly gulls: Gaviota argéntea europea, Gavión Atlántico, Gaviota del Caspio, Gaviota Cana, Gaviota Reidora. In addition to the gulls, you can often see Ánade azulón, Cisne Vulgar, Focha Común, Somormujo Lavanco, Serreta Chica, Serreta Grande, Porrón Moñudo, Porrón Osculado, Garceta Grande, and sometimes rarer species appear, for example: Gaviota Cabecinegra or Colimbo Ártico. It is quite common to see a hunting Pigargo Europeo.

The observation site is on the northern waterfront in Kamień Pomorski. There are plenty of parking spaces in the city. Press a P on the map for directions. You can get everywhere on foot or by bike or by watercraft. You can get across the bay to the other side by a footbridge.
