Lake Kozłowa Góra near Świerklaniec is a reservoir created by damming the waters of the Brynica river. The backwater zone attracts many species of birds. Because lake Kozłowa Góra is far from other larger water reservoirs it is an important local bird refuge. In its vicinity, A least 246 species of birds were found. Birds that breed around the lake are Avetoro Común, Fumarel Cariblanco, Polluela Pintoja, Rascón Europeo, Cerceta Carretona, Grulla Común, Oropéndola Europea, Alcaudón Dorsirrojo, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Pigargo Europeo and Zampullín Cuellinegro. The adjacent park in Świerklaniec is also worth a visit. It has an area of 154 hectare and houses 20 historic buildings and plenty of forest birds and woodpeckers.
