The most interesting birds on the ponds that nest in the area are: Somormujo Lavanco , Somormujo Cuellirrojo , Zampullín Cuellinegro , Cormorán Grande , Avetoro Común , Ánsar común , Ánade friso , Gaviota Reidora , Charrán Común , Polluela Pintoja , Polluela Bastarda and Ruiseñor Pechiazul . During the migration, migrating birds stop on the ponds and the nearby fields. Their total number amounts to several thousand individuals. Among them, the following birds have been recorded: Colimbo Ártico , Cisne Cantor , Cisne Chico , Barnacla Cariblanca , Tarro Blanco , Aguja Colipinta and Cigüeñuela común.
