Descripción
Dolistowo Nowe is an observation point and walk where you have a good view on the Biebrza wetland area. You can see for miles. A telescope is a must. There is a big chance of seeing Águila Moteada, a rare nesting species at the westernmost edge of its range. With patience, they are regularly seen soaring overhead, and are more reliably encountered here than anywhere else in the National Park.
Other commonly seen species here include Águila Pomerana, Pigargo Europeo, Aguilucho Cenizo, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Busardo ratonero and Cernícalo vulgar. Cigüeña Negra and Cigüeña Blanca are also often seen soaring on warm days. White storks occupy a remarkable number of nestingplaces in the area.
In late summer, Dolistowo Nowe is a gathering place for Grulla Común (from the end of July). Other birds you can observe include Buscarla Unicolor, Fumarel Aliblanco, Lavandera Cetrina, Guión de Codornices, Camachuelo Carminoso, Oropéndola Europea, Abejero Europeo, Codorniz Común, Gorrión Molinero, Alcotán Europeo, Carricero Tordal and others. Among the large mammals, moose can often be found in this area.
