Descripción
You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Arao Aliblanco, Cormorán Grande, Cormorán Moñudo, Charrán Común, Charrán ártico and gulls. Some shore birds as Chorlitejo Grande or Correlimos Oscuro can be observed all summer, and Ostrero Euroasiático may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot Chorlito Dorado Europeo, Combatiente, Búho Campestre, Pigargo Europeo and Busardo Calzado.
Water birds as Éider común and Serreta Mediana and also a diversity of small birds as Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Escribano Nival, Verderón Común, Carbonero Montano, Pardillo Norteño and Lavandera Blanca contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.

By the main road you acces Veines and you park the car at the begining of the walking trail. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can walk all over the peninsula on the left when you start walking. At some point of the walk up in the mountain you will find an observatory. It is also possible from the end of the peninsula (lighthouse) to spot whales during migration.
