Descripción
Lonåsen is a small village in Tunndalen, at the confluence of the rivers Tunna and Lona, about 13 kilometers northwest of the town of Tynset. The village is surrounded by forest and tundra. I stayed here for a month in the winter months of December and January. I regularly saw woodpecker species such as Pico Picapinos but also Pico tridáctilo and Pito Cano. In addition, Grouse such as Lagópodo Alpino, Gallo lira común and Urogallo Común. Finch species such as the Picogordo Común and Camachuelo Común. Furthermore, many Trepador Azul, Carbonero Montano, Verderón Común, Pardillo Norteño, Carbonero Garrapinos, Reyezuelo Sencillo, Cuervo Grande and Gorrión Molinero.

Lonåsen is located 13 kilometers northwest of the town of Tynset. In the general area around Tynset and Lonåsen you have a chance of these sightings, especially in winter. Specifically for this area you can park in Lonåsen and from there follow one of the many hiking trails into the forest. Press P on the map for directions.
