The Blokhoven water storage area is a small wetland with nature-friendly banks and a view of the town of Schalkwijk. From a high bench you can sit quietly while watching birds. There is also a bird watching screen. During the breeding season you can observe birds such as Archibebe Común, Aguja Colinegra, Chorlitejo Chico, Escribano Palustre, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental and Tarro Blanco.

Nederlands: Waterbergingsgebied Blokhoven is een klein waterbergingsgebied met natuurvriendelijke oevers. Een compact gebied met uitzicht op Schalkwijk. Vanaf een hoog bankje kan je rustig zitten terwijl je vogels kijkt. Er is ook een vogelkijkscherm. In het broedseizoen kan je onder meer de Archibebe Común, Aguja Colinegra, Chorlitejo Chico, Escribano Palustre, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental en Tarro Blanco zien.

Waterbergingsgebied Blokhovenis located just southwest of the town of Schalkwijk. Parking is available along the road or in a parking lot a 5-minute walk away in the village Tull 't Waal. Click on the P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The walk around and through the area runs partly over raised wooden platforms and is less than a kilometer long.

Nederlands: Waterbergingsgebied Blokhoven ligt iets ten zuidwesten van de plaats Schalkwijk. Parkeren kan langs de weg of op een parkeerplaats op 5 minuten lopen afstand in het dorp Tull 't Waal.
