The Van Pallandtpolder is a vast area with wet forests and reed beds on one side and fields on the other. Many waterfowl are sttracted to the various pools and one of these also has a bird hide. There you you can observe species such as Garceta Grande, Cuchara Común and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental.

Nederlands: De Van Pallandtpolder is een uitgestrekt gebied met aan de ene kant moerasbossen en rietvelden en aan de andere kant akkers. Een mooi moerasgebied aan het Haringvliet met een grote verscheidenheid aan soorten watervogels. Er is een goede kijkhut met mooi uitzicht op een poel. Er komen vele watervogels af op de verschillende poelen en bij de vogelkijkhut kan je soorten waarnemen zoals de grote zilverreiger, slobeend en bruine kiekendief.

Accesso
The area can be reached both on foot and by bicycle. If you park your car at the jetty, it is still a long walk to the bird hide (about 4 km), but there are no parking spaces closer. It is doable by bicycle. Click on the P in the map for directions.

Nederlands: Het gebied is zowel lopend als op de fiets berijkbaar. Als je bij het havenhoofd je auto neerzet is het nog een stuk lopen naar de vogelkijkhut (ongeveer 4 km), maar er zijn geen parkeerplaatsen dichterbij. Op de fiets is het goed te doen. In addition to various birds, hares, beavers and carp are also found here. People regularly let dogs run loose here, which often go into the pools and frighten the birds. In the summer there are many wasps in the hide, but if you remain calm they do nothing. There can sometimes be weirdos in the hide, so be careful.

Nederlands: Naast verschillende vogels komen hier ook roodwangschildpadden, hazen, bevers en karpers voor. Mensen laten geregeld hier de hond los lopen die vaak de poelen in gaan en de vogels opschrikken. In de zomer zitten er veel wespen in de kijkhut maar als je rustig blijft doen ze niks. Er kan vreemd volk in de hut zitten dus wees voorzichtig.
