The Rammekenshoek nature reserve consists of beach, creeks, reed beds, forest and an old sea fort. In the 'canals' around the fort you can see different types of water birds. Outside the dike lies the only remaining salt marsh of the area. It is an area washed up by the sea with creeks, mudflats, salt-loving plants and coastal breeding birds such as Archibebe Común, Ostrero Euroasiático and Avoceta Común. In the reed beds that you can find throughout the area, Carricerín Común, Carricero Común, Escribano Palustre and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental breed in the summer and in the winter you regularly encounter Bigotudo. A Cormorán Grande colony is present in the forest for many years and you can also find many species of forest birds. Birds that you can encounter in the area include Curruca Mosquitera, Carricero Políglota, Tarro Blanco, Andarríos Grande, Archibebe Claro, Espátula Común, Zampullín Común, Garceta Común and Pito Real.

Nederlands: Natuurgebied Rammekenshoek bestaat uit strand, kreken, rietkragen, bos en een oud zeefort. In de 'grachten' rond het fort kun je verschillende soorten watervogels zien. Buitendijks ligt het nog enige schor van Walcheren. Het is een door de zee opgewassen gebied met prielen, slibranden, zoutminnende planten en kustbroedvogels als Archibebe Común, Ostrero Euroasiático en Avoceta Común. In de rietkragen die je in het hele gebied kunt vinden, broeden in de zomer Carricerín Común, Carricero Común, Escribano Palustre en Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental en in de winter tref je er regelmatig Bigotudo. In het bos zit al jarenlang een Cormorán Grande kolonie en kun je veel soorten bosvogels aantreffen. Vogels die je in het gebied verder kunt tegenkomen zijn Curruca Mosquitera, Carricero Políglota, Tarro Blanco, Andarríos Grande, Archibebe Claro, Espátula Común, Zampullín Común, Garceta Común en Pito Real.
