The area is easily accessible with a walking path around the two lakes. It is unique to have such an area so close to the city. Common reedbirds like Carricerín Común, Escribano Palustre and Carricero Común breed in the reedbeds. Other birds that can be heard or seen are Aguja Colinegra, Tarro Blanco, Avoceta Común, Espátula Común and Ruiseñor Pechiazul. Numerous geese and duck species can be seen.
The unpaved trails lead right past puddles full of waders and geese. The Avefría Europea stunt around you to divert attention from their nests.
