The Melickerven is located in Meinweg National Park. This relatively short circular walk of 4 km along the Melicker fen and the Herkenboscher fen is a walking route through open meadows, forest and along fens. A quiet area with nice views. On the Melicker fen several couples of Zampullín Común breed. Other birds you may encounter along the way include Alondra Común, Escribano Cerillo, Tarabilla común, Curruca Zarcera, Pardillo Común, Jilguero Europeo, Alcotán Europeo and Pito Real.

Deze relatief korte rondwandeling van 4 km via het Melickerven en en het Herkenboscher Ven is een wandelroute door open weilanden, bossen en langs vennen. Het is een stiltegebied met enkele vergezichten. Op het Melickerven broeden meerdere paartjes Zampullín Común. Andere vogels die je onderweg kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Alondra Común, Escribano Cerillo, Tarabilla común, Curruca Zarcera, Pardillo Común, Jilguero Europeo, Alcotán Europeo en Pito Real.

De Meinweg National Park is located east of the city of Roermond on the border of the Netherlands and Germany. The starting point of the Melickerven walking route is located at the parking lot of Manege Venhof. Click on the P in the map for directions to the car park. The Melickerven route is marked with a red triangle. There is a restaurant at the starting point of the walking route.
