On and around the Lemelerberg you can take beautiful walks and spot many nice birds. The Lemelerberg is a moraine that was formed in the ice age and whose highest point is almost 80 meters. It is a diverse nature reserve with forest, heathland, herbaceous areas, juniper thickets and ponds. To the northwest of the moraine there are also drifting sand areas. Birds that you can encounter in the area include: Alondra Totovía, Picogordo Común, Camachuelo Común, Picamaderos Negro, Chotacabras Europeo, Gavilán Común, Azor Común, Alcotán Europeo, Escribano Cerillo, Colirrojo Real, Papamoscas Cerrojillo, Bisbita Arbóreo and in winter Alcaudón Norteño.
Please note: the paths of the Lemelerberg can be very busy on weekends and sunny days. On these days with many visitors it is difficult to see a lot of birds and the motto is to start early, or even better choose a day outside the weekend.

De Lemelerberg is een stuwwal die is ontstaan in de voorlaatste ijstijd en waarvan het hoogste punt bijna 80 meter is. Het is een divers natuurgebied met bos, heide, kruidige stukken, heideakkertjes, jeneverbesstruwelen en vennen. Ten noordwesten van de stuwwal komen ook stuifzandgebieden voor. Het is echt een typisch gebied voor vogels van bossen en heidevelden. Vogels die je in het gebied kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Alondra Totovía, Picogordo Común, Camachuelo Común, Picamaderos Negro, Chotacabras Europeo, Gavilán Común, Azor Común, Alcotán Europeo, Escribano Cerillo, Colirrojo Real, Papamoscas Cerrojillo, Bisbita Arbóreo en in de winter Alcaudón Norteño.
Let op: bedenk dat het in weekenden (vooral op zondag) en op zonnige vakantiedagen druk kan zijn op de paden van de Lemelerberg. Dan is het lastig om veel vogels te zien en is het devies vroeg starten, of nog beter kiezen voor een andere dag.

Nature reserve Lemelerberg is located west of the village Lemele. You can park in the parking lot of tea house De Lemelerberg. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. Various walking routes start from there. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 10 km. It is easy to shorten the route.

Nederlands: Natuurgebied Lemelerberg ligt ten westen van het dorp Lemele. Je kunt parkeren op de parkeerplaats van theehuis De Lemelerberg. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Van daaruit starten diverse wandelroutes. De rondwandeling die is aangegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 10 km.
