The Kamperhoek is a former sand depot that has been transformed into a lake with a marsh. The adjacent forest is rich in birds. The marsh part of the area is closed to the public, but there is a bird hide overlooking the lake. Birds you may encounter here include Águila Pescadora, Martín Pescador Común, Pigargo Europeo, Zorzal Real, Rascón Europeo, Serreta Grande, Somormujo Lavanco, and much more.

Nederlands: De Kamperhoek is een leuk gebied bij Swifterbant met een fijne kijkhut. Het voormalige zanddepot is omgetoverd in een fraai moerasgebied met een plas. Het aangrenzende bos is rijk aan vogels. Het moerasgedeelte van het gebied is afgesloten voor publiek, maar er is wel een vogelijkhut met uitzicht op de plas. Vogels die je hier kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Águila Pescadora, Martín Pescador Común, Pigargo Europeo, Zorzal Real, Rascón Europeo, Serreta Grande, Somormujo Lavanco, Avión Zapador en nog veel meer.

The Kamperhoek is located directly north of the village of Swifterbant. Park your car on Visvijverweg. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking lot, walk about 800 meters to the bird hide.
