Particularly striking are the large groups of Aguja Colinegra that can be found in Het Weegje early in the year. The marshy forest in the area has many songbirds in summer, such as Mito Común, Zorzal Común, Cetia Ruiseñor, Jilguero Europeo , Carricerín Común, and Carricero Común. But also Cuco Común is often heard and seen. In the central part there is a lake with many waders, in addition to the Aguja Colinegra also Archibebe Común , Agachadiza común and Chorlitejo Chico.

Nederlands: Het Weegje is een prachtig natuur- en recreatiegebied onder de rook van Waddinxveen. Vooral opvallend zijn de grote groepen Aguja Colinegra's die al vroeg in het jaar in het gebied te vinden zijn. Het moerasbosje in het gebied heeft zomers veel zangvogels, zoals Mito Común, Zorzal Común, Cetia Ruiseñor, Jilguero Europeo, Carricerín Común en Carricero Común. Maar ook de Cuco Común wordt vaak gehoord en gezien. In het centrale deel bevindt zich een meer met veel steltlopers, naast de Aguja Colinegra ook Archibebe Común, Agachadiza común en Chorlitejo Chico.

Accessible by car. Parking spots are available at the address Weegje 4, Waddinxveen. In the area itself one can walk on paved paths, while the side paths are unpaved.
