One of the best areas in The Netherlands to see the Dutch polder landscape and the typical meadowbirds as Aguja Colinegra, Archibebe Común, Avefría Europea, Ostrero Euroasiático and Zarapito Real. You walk among the birds and sheep. The bird hide offers a view on the Eemmeer. Especially in Spring and early Summer this is a great birding experience. If you're lucky, you can see a Pigargo Europeo passing over. In winter you have a good chance to see Chorlito Dorado Europeo, thousands of geese and if you are lucky Búho Campestre.

Nederlands: Eemnes is een van de beste gebieden in Nederland om het Nederlandse polderlandschap te zien en de typische weidevogels als Aguja Colinegra, Archibebe Común, Avefría Europea, Ostrero Euroasiático en Zarapito Real. Wandel door een typisch Hollands polderlandschap. De wandelroute loopt over twee dijken die dateren uit de middeleeuwen. Je loopt tussen de vogels en schapen. De vogelkijkhut biedt uitzicht op het Eemmeer. Vooral in de lente en vroege zomer is dit een geweldige vogelervaring. Pigargo Europeo broedt in het bos aan de overkant en vliegt soms over. In de winter heb je grote kans om Chorlito Dorado Europeo en duizenden ganzen te zien. En als je geluk hebt een Búho Campestre.

Accesso
The Eempolder is located east of the village of Eemnes on the big lake Eemmeer. Accessible by bike, car and public transport. The polder is best explored walking. Click on a P in the map to go to a good parking spot. The paths can be very muddy and wet, so make sure you wear waterproof footwear.

Nederlands: De Eempolder ligt ten oosten van Eemnes aan het Eemmeer. Bereikbaar met fiets, auto en openbaar vervoer. Beste optie is om de polder te voet te verkennen. Klik op een P in de kaart om naar een goede parkeerplek te gaan. De paden kunnen erg modderig en nat zijn, dus zorg dat je waterdicht schoeisel draagt.
